Giyo’s Tacos in Paramount is a straightforward spot where the focus is squarely on hearty Mexican fast food with a strong nod to traditional flavors. This is a no-frills place best suited for casual meals, especially if you’re craving a quick, filling bite that leans into classic taco and huarache offerings. The location on Alondra Blvd makes it convenient for locals looking to grab something satisfying midweek or on weekends, particularly afternoons when the kitchen is in full swing.

The atmosphere here is typical of a bustling, neighborhood fast food joint—functional and a bit busy, with a lineup that can form during peak hours, like weekend afternoons or early dinners. It’s not about ambiance but efficiency and flavor, which fits well for those who appreciate authentic Mexican fast food without the polish of a full-service dining experience.

The menu is diverse in its specialty tacos and huaraches, with options that include everything from Al Pastor and Carnitas to more adventurous choices like Tacos de Cabeza and Lengua. The Birria Plate and accompanying consomé are popular weekend highlights, especially since the menudo is only available on weekends and sometimes runs out by late Sunday. For people looking to sample rich, meaty flavors, the goat birria is recommended and seems to hit the mark on delivering a comforting, richly spiced dish.

Beyond the savory eats, people seem to appreciate the extras like the house salsas and grilled onions available at the self-serve salsa bar, adding a personal touch to each plate. Drinks like horchata offer a refreshing complement, making this a solid, no-nonsense stop for lunch or dinner for taco enthusiasts and families alike.

Those visiting should expect a straightforward service experience with occasional glitches in payment technology, but staff generally recommend alternatives well when certain dishes sell out. The combos—like the set of four tacos with a soda—provide good value and convenience for anyone wanting a simple, filling meal.

In summary, Giyo’s Tacos caters mainly to locals who know their way around classic Mexican flavors and want decent portions without the wait or fuss. It works well for quick lunches or casual dinners where the focus is on the food rather than the setting. If you’re after something comforting, fast, and flavorful with an emphasis on tacos and birria, this is a place that fits into the everyday rhythm of Paramount’s dining scene.

Their tacos de lengua are the best. It's all I get when I go there so I couldn't tell you how anything else taste. I do like their salsas and grilled onions they give you free on the side.

Amazinggg tacos and I love their horchata so much. Be careful with their pos system, sometimes they charge you but it doesn't show on their screen.

Asked for menudo.. they serve it Saturday and Sunday... They were out.. It was late Sunday afternoon.. They recommended the Goat birria.. it was DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend it! It even came with the consome juice!

Decent quality tacos. I want to say this place used to be top-notch with long lines waiting for the food. The quality may have gone down a notch but not by much. For $9.95 you get four (4) tacos and a drink (no refills). Still decent with unlimited salsas and jalapenos from their self-serve bar. Not terrible but not excellent. If you stop by, it's better if you get combo #1 which comes with the four tacos and the drink, if you go a la carte, the price of the tacos varies by the type of meat you order. I wouldn't be too harsh on them as inflation has forced every business to get creative in the way they deliver services. For $10, combo #1 is still a decent meal that will carry you on until your next meal. The customer service is great by the way.

We all agreed that these were best tacos any of us ever had. And the woman who took my order was extremely nice.
